Extrapolating with H2O

I was hungry this evening so I thought I would make myself something to eat.  I looked at the cupboard.  I had beef flavored Ramen and 'oriental' flavored Ramen.  I never understood oriental flavored Ramen anyway.  I guess it just blends the essential flavors of all coastal Asian countries together?  I bet LA is just the place for that sort of culinary melting pot.  And for 10 cents, it's a deal!  So I made oriental beef Ramen.  I was thirsty so I got a liter bottle and filled it with tap water.  I don't drink enough generally, although I like to think I'm not too dehydrated normally, but when I do, I drink a lot.  That isn't healthy, or so says the healthcare professionals at my work.  So it makes me wonder if I am drinking water more for utility (staying alive) or pleasure.  I like drinking water and I tend to do things I like, so in that sense I guess it is for the pleasure of drinking water.  But it also serves a function.  A person I hold dear to me used to tell me often that when two causes of seemingly diametrically opposed sources affect a situation, it truth tends to be more of a mix of the two  instead of one or another.  It makes sense in this case, but it gets harder to when applied to other things.  I like water because water is good for me, but I drink water because I like it so I use it in ways that aren't.  It's simple.  But why do I like rock music or dancing or why do I prefer to stay in my room than head outside?  I don't know, but it's certainly something to think about.
